                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE TEMPORARY
                   CLOSURE OF VARIOUS STREETS IN THE ALTON PARK
                   AREA MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED HEREIN ON
                   FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, 1990 FOR THE "HOWARD
                   HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING PARADE" SPONSORED BY
                   THE HOWARD HIGH SCHOOL UNDER CERTAIN
                   CONDITIONS.
                  
                  
                                                      
                  
                  
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       temporary closing of the southbound traffic lane on Ohls Avenue
       from 38th Street to 42nd Street on Friday, October 12, 1990 from
       5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and the temporary closing of the westbound 

       traffic lane on 42nd Street from Ohls Avenue to Grand Avenue, the 

       temporary closing of the northbound traffic lane on Grand Avenue
       from 42nd Street to 40th Street, the temporary closing of the
       westbound traffic lane on 40th Street from Grand Avenue to Alton
       Park Boulevard, the temporary closing of the northbound traffic
       lanes on Alton Park Boulevard-Market Street from 40th Street to
       26th Street and the temporary closing of the eastbound traffic
       lane of 26th Street from Market Street to Howard High School on
       Friday, October 12, 1990 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for the
       presentation of "Howard High School Homecoming Parade" under the
       sponsorship of Howard High School, provided that the sponsor 
shall
       set out traffic cones in accordance with the traffic control plan 

       attached hereto and shall provide, at all times, an access lane
       for fire and other emergency vehicles.
